WEEK 17

WEEK 17

November 15. Wow what a great week.  Had a good week but with a rough start.  I was feeling kinda sick all day monday, kinda knew that was going to happen when I woke up with a headache.  But I still ended the day with my girls Alina, Inna, and Yelena watching Russian movies and drinking lots of tea.  It was my birthday on Tuesday, and soon as I my eyes open that morning I got lots of kisses from  my husband and a big present.  It was a great morning, my baby gave me some Ugg boots i've been wanting for a while.  He took me out to lunch, then we walked around the mall and did a little shopping.   Then we saw a movie (Life as you know it) OMG it was so funny, we loved it, I did anyway.  We ended the night with dinner.  Later that week we went to church camp with mom and dad, we cut down some trees and did a little hiking.  Friday night I had a girls night out dinner to celebrate my birthday. We went to 131 Main and everything was so good. Thanks to Tanya, Oksana, Alina, Oksana K, and Alla who came to celebrate with me, I had so much fun.  Thanksgiving Dinner with the girls again, wow it was so good and there was so much food that we had to come back the next day to finish it all, and still had left overs to take home. The best news of the week was that my best friend/cousin Oksana got ENGAGED tonight, I'm so happy and excited for them!
My baby is now a tine bit bigger, its 6.7 inches from head to toe, and approx. 5.3 oz. still no kicking that I can feel, but I'm not to worried I'm sure it will happen soon.  My babies hair is now growing, there are eyebrows and clearly visible finger nails.  One more week till we find out the sex of the baby, we are so excited and cant wait till that day. So what do you think it is? boy or girl?

WEEK 16

WEEK 16

November 8th.  Wow, what a rough week.  All of my pregnancy symptoms are finally here, starting with more throwing up, more headaches, constipation, lower belly pain, back pain, leg cramps, heartburn, chest pain, and rapid heart beat.  It was still a fun filled week, went hiking with Alina and Ana few a few miles, then went out for a healthy lunch. We did a little shopping at the mall, and seen a chick flick, Morning Glory.  My nurse came to see me this week, she is so sweet, I got an early birthday gift from her which was a great surprise.  I gained a pound in a half from my last visit, and all of my symptoms are normal.  Saturday was a beautiful day, did a little shopping with my sister at the J.Crew store, then my hubby spent the day with me.  He took me to the Blue Ridge Mountains, then we stopped by my nieces birthday party and ended the day with a movie, (Unstoppable) which I would recommend, it was good and keeps you on you feet the whole time.  Sunday was a Olga's Hamalaha (my cousin) baby shower, which was lots of fun.  There was lots of great food, great people, and fun games.  So I am suppose to start to feel my baby kick at this time, I'm not talking about powerful kicks, but its more like a fish tail or a tickle. Well it has not happened yet, so I'm still waiting.  The baby is about 4" to 4.5" long and weights about 3.1 to 3.5 oz. (the size of an avocado).

Week 15

WEEK 15

November 1st.  The drive back home.  We left Dina with Amanda and Dre so she could help them with the kids and maybe get a job before all the Holidays start.  It feels so good to be back home, mom and dad have missed us, we can tell. Ok so at the doctors office we got to hear the babies heartbeat again, but it was not as clear as the first time, I guess mine was in the way a little.  But everything went well, I got me some extra medication for my headaches and got my next appointment scheduled for an ultrasound to find out the sex of the baby. And another appointment for some more blood work so they can run more tests.  I think I'm actually starting to show a little, or lets just say I can't suck it in anymore.  My pants feel a little tight and I can't button my jeans anymore either.  I have not felt many movement yet, but I cant wait till I do.  I had my first visit from my nurse this week, she is very nice.  She asked me all lot of question on how I am feeling and gave me all lot of information about my baby and how my body is going to change every month for the next six months.  I also had my hair appointment with Yelena, who made me look sexy all over again. I was overdue for a hair cut and my roots were looking pretty bad.  On Friday morning me and Toly went to mom's house to fix her heater, it had broke down and it's been really cold out.  Toly got the heater working again which was pretty nice.  Sveta my sister-in-law was there with her two kids, so we did a bunch of yard work, ate a bunch of pelmeni and hung out by the fire place.  Sveta is pregnant too, she's about as far along as me and she can already feel her baby move around and kick, she is showing allot more than me too.  But this is her third pregnancy so maybe thats why.   So me and Toly got this bright idea of putting my ring on his necklace and putting it over my belly to see if we can figure out the sex of the baby.   Every time i put if over his hand the ring goes back and forth, but over my hand it goes in a circle.  So he put it and right over my belly where the baby is the ring swung back and forth. So we are guessing its going to be a boy!  We were so excited that we got Sveta and put the ring over her belly and it went in circles, so maybe she is finally having a girl.  I guess we just have to wait and see to find out for sure.  Mom thought we were being silly and did not believe any of it.

WEEK 14

WEEK14

October 25th.  Welcome to the second trimester!  the risk of miscarriage has now fallen radically.  Of course, it still may happen but the second trimester sees only 24% of such misfortunes.  babies weight is approx. 1.7oz and lenght is 3 to 4 inches.  We're still in Ohio thinking about leaving on Wednesday, because my doctor appointment is on thursday which can be fixed with a simple phone call.  But also thinking about staying for the weekend so that Toly can go to the Bengals/Dolphins football game with Dre on Sunday and leave Monday morning.  So looks it like the guys found some tickets and are going to the game, and I had to rescheduled my appointment to Tuesday at 9:45am.  The headaches have not stopped, I actually think they got worse.  Tylenol is not helping, and a two hour nap during the day leaves me up till 6am.  Still very constipated, so in the morning I went to the Walmart pharmacy to talk to the pharmacist about what I can take while I'm pregnant.  I feel so bloated and my stomachaches are driving me crazy.  She gave me a few option on a stool softener and a laxative, and I took them both.  A few hours later I feel like a new person, and everything is back to normal.  My breast are still really sore and are getting huge, I think it's time to go shopping for new bras.
Its trick or treat time for the kids.  Brianna Dressed up as Dora the Explorer, Tristan as Woody, Kolin as Michael Jackson, me as a pregnant mom, and Dina as a mouse. We had so much fun Watching the kids go from do to door trick or treating, Brianna had to let everyone know she was Dora.  Tristan kept saying thank you none stop, we had a great time.

Dora needed some extra bronzer to make her look mexican.

WEEK 13

October 18th.  We are in Ohio with Dina, Gina, Dre, Brianna, Tristan, and Kolin. I'm feeling better, no nausea, but lots of headaches, like everyday, it sucks. Also, this week I've started on smells.  OMG I can smell things a mile away, and it all super strong.  I'll be sitting there minding my own business when I start smelling coke, juice or any type of food that is right next to me and it drives me nuts!  Someone please cover it up or eat it somewhere else.  Or Gina (Amanda) starts cooking something and i feel like the whole house is smelling like chicken, fries, and potatoes, I cant get away from it.  But that was the easy part, whenever I smell something gross or see something that's not even be that bad, like I snot or a dirty diaper, I start gagging and feel like I'm about to throw up.  Everyone has a blast with that.  In a conversation, I would hear someone talk about how the dog pooped in the house and that's all it takes, I start gagging.  We got to go to Cincinnati to the riverfront, it was beautiful.  And then we walked across the bridge to Kentucky and ate at a restaurant on the riverfront.   As you can tell, we had some good time in Ohio but its ok we are staying for another week, so its not over yet.  I now start to feel a little round thing inside my belly it so awesome, kind of hard and feels amazing.

WEEK 12

WEEK 12

October 11th. This is a very exciting week for us, we got to go to the Doctors office and get our first ultrasound.  Wow, what an amazing feeling!  It was the best feeling in the whole world.  We saw the baby do cartwheels, it was so exciting, the baby was moving around so much doing flips and having a blast. We got to hear the heart beat again which was 169BPM, which is pretty close to when we heard it the first time.  the development is going on real fast.  The brain is now is now fully formed and the baby can now feel pain.    Well this week my cousin can home from Ukraine and we are finally free.  We have been wanting to go to Ohio to visit Dre and Amanda because he is home between jobs.  We don't get to go see them that often because they live so far away, and we miss their little munchkins so much. Little Brianna and that little nugget Tristan, he's so cute and somuch fun and he always wants "that one".

WEEK 10

WEEK 10

September 27th.  The week of my mom's birthday... So my sister has a great gift of writing poem for mom.   So I asked her to write me one that lets Mom know that she is going to have an addition to her grandkids (number 6).  So EVERYONE, Mom, Dad, all my sisters and their husbands, my Brother and his wife, and all the grandkids are at the dinner table about finished eating and starting with dessert.  Mom starts to open her gifts and read her card from us, which says something like Happy Birthday, may good bless you and all you six grandchildren, she starts reading it again with a confused look on her face. She then says "six? I only have five, so wheres the sixth?"  While everyone else is kinda taking a few seconds to count all the grandkids and then look at me. In the mean time my Oldest sister Tatyana starts screaming with Joy :) and my mom hugs me, dad hugs Toly and everyone at this point is in a little shock. It was a pretty awesome surprise for everyone, and of course I start crying AGAIN like always, and so do my sisters because we are all very emotional so as soon as one starts its like a chain reaction, we all end up with tears of joy.  This is how I know everyone's happy for me.  The cutest thing was when Olexie (4yo), the youngest of all the grandkids is told that I'm going to have a baby, she comes over to me and gives me a hug and rubs my belly saying can i hold it...lol  It was so sweet.
On Thursday I had an appointment and so we get to hear the babies heartbeat even though I am only 9 weeks.  It was an amazing moment for us, I cried and it made me feel so good. 170 BPM, I ofcourse texted everyone about it. Some say it means its a boy, some say girl, I guess we will just have to wait and see.

WEEK 11

WEEK 11

October 4th. This week I am still getting a little nausea but it not to bad.  The worst part is was with my stomach hurts really bad like every night, I guess I was a little constipated.  I know it sounds really gross but it happens and it sucks really bad,  and there is nothing much you can really do about it.  I'm still watching the kids for one more week which is going pretty well, they pretty excited about the baby and keep asking me if I think it will be a boy or girl.  And of course it's a girl, at least thats what I think it is, I keep calling the baby a she and stuff.  And I'm so tempted to go out and start buying things for the baby but I have not, not even a small pacifier. At this time the baby has all the organs that will be necessary to live.  The membrane between fingers and toe disappears, and tooth buds are formed.

WEEK 9

WEEK 9

September 20th. This week I'm helping out my cousin while she is in Ukraine with her husband, I'm staying at her house and watching her 4 kids for 3 weeks.  They are grown up and in school so that makes it a little easier on me.  I'm definitely getting nausea and horrible headaches, and Tylenol is not helping any.  By the end of the day I'm in the bathroom sick throwing up. Other than that, I guess I'm okay, trying my best to drink lots of water.  The thing I hate most is not being able to shop, because I know my body will start changing soon so I don't want to buy thing i won't be able to wear in 2 to 3 months.  I've started to loose weight because I'm getting nausea so often I don't wanna eat much.  Didn't lose allot, just like 3 pounds, which is normal during the 1st trimester.  The baby on the other hand, is able to feel my sudden movements, so no drop zone from me at the fair...

WEEK 8

September 13th. At this point me and Toly are thinking about telling my parents about the baby on my Mom's birthday the 29th.  A little surprise for them and everyone else.  But ofcourse, I had to tell my BFF no matter what.  So me, my sister Yelena, and Alina (my cousin) drove down to Charlotte to see my cousin Oksana Kukhartes (Alina's sister).  We were all out having a good time and went out to eat.  I just had to spit it out, I could not hold it in anymore. So as I was taking a group picture and instead of saying cheese, I said "Olga is pregnant" and took the picture.  Of course it just left them all confused...  All i was trying to do was get their expressions on camera but it didn't really work, oh well.  After that I had to explain to them it wasn't a joke, they were all happy and supportive for me.   And of course, I started to cry. Later that week, I told my sister Oksana, she just happened to asked me and i just couldn't say no.  Toly and I got tickets to the Carolina Panthers game in Charlotte.  We went there the night before and hung out with my cousin Oksana, and spent the night at her house. She dropped us off at the stadium so we wouldn't have to try to find a parking space on game day..  We had a great time.
At this time I started having a little nausea, but in the evening right before bed, not in the morning, which I kind of like.  My stomach was cramping a little, other than that I was feeling good!

WEEK 7

September 6th. I am doing my best with eating healthy and drinking lots of water and taking my vitamins     daily.  Trying my best to stay away from food that I can't eat like raw fish, raw eggs, some cheeses and the list goes on.  From this point on I stopped eating eggs, they just stopped looking good to me.  I would remember making breakfast for everyone and cooking eggs but not being able to eat them.  In the sixth week of pregnancy arms and legs appear.  And the baby is only .16 in and weight is less then .01 oz.
