MY LITTLE MUNCHKIN: WEEK 27

WEEK 27

January 24th, 2011. 13 weeks to go... 93 days to go. Baby is now a little over 2 pounds and 13 inches long. Eyelids which were formed around the 12th week of pregnancy and remained closed are now open!! Finally, the retina responsible for receiving photo stimuli is prepared to work. If you focus a strong beam of light on the belly, you can be sure that the baby will turn its head in that direction. It is not sitting there in the dark, but rather in something like a burgundy-brown glow. Baby will open and shut and look from side to side, and is exercising its eye muscles. Yes, it's my last trimester and I'm entering the last phase of the pregnancy. Been feeling great, just a little back pain in the morning and of course constant heart burn. I get it from eating bananas to drinking water, its crazy. Overall had a great week, Monday morning started out with a huge breakfast with all the kids. Tuesday morning was rough, my hubby woke up feeling really sick. He was drinking lots of hot tea and eating lots of chicken noodle soup. That was our first night of sign language class for Me, Yelena, Oksana, and Tanya, which is always so much fun. Wednesday Toly is still really sick with a fever and a horrible cough, so he stayed in the house snuggled in bed. Thursday we had to sign a contract for our house, which was very exciting for us. And the best part is that it should be built before baby Mark is born, which make us very happy. By Saturday Toly is been in the house almost all week but is feeling a lot better, but is still doing a little bit of coughing.
